With 5 littles and a VERY busy mom and dad, this family room need to function as a place to reconnect at the end of long of a day. We picked furnishings that were high quality and durable for tiny little hands without compromising style.

Corner Fireplace before. Since our client has 9”ft. ceilings, we removed the hearth to have a more clean look and added stone to the ceiling to help lengthen the fireplace. And then to finish the look, we added a custom mantle. We picked a little darker stain then the flooring to give depth to the fireplace.

Modern Traditional Media center to offset the fireplace. A perfect piece to ground the TV.

Having enough seating for a family of 7 was a challenge for this small family room. We maximized seating with a leather sectional and two arm chairs. We played with different, textures, patterns and wood tones to give this living a room an elevated collective look.

This staircase was my favorite part of the whole transformation. It completely changed the way the home greets you when you walk in the front door. We decided on simple metal balusters for a simple but dramatic look.

We removed the pony wall and added the wooden handrail with the metal balusters. Now when you walk into our client’s home you are greeted by stairs that have transformed into an amazing architecture element.

This family room is now a place that the family loves to gather and make memories. It’s the beating heart of the home. Designing a space is not just about making it MORE beautiful. It’s so much MORE. Our goal is for our designs to connect with the heart and the soul.
